Napper 3D is actively involved with cutting edge technology research teams based at Manchester and Warwick universities. This research is concerned with automatic 3D model reconstruction using data contained within digital photographs. This has many implications on the world of architectural visualisation with the accurate and photoreal representation of real buildings in the virtual model. Along side this is research into High Dynamic Range based realtime virtual reality exploration. This provides accurate real world captured lighting information to light a user controlled architectural environment. This should give the designer access to instant daylight and artificial light simulations during the design development and presentation stages.
Napper 3D has also conducted research into videomontage techniques which involves the placing of a virtual building model into real world film footage. This has resulted in the development of a successful workflow for accurately showing a building in its real world context in motion, creating a unique viewing experience.
Q. How long does the process take?
A. The majority of projects can be produced within 10 working days from the initial commission. However each project is unique and the timescale will depend on the scale, detail and number of required visuals of the project.
Q. How much does 3D architectural visualisation cost?
A. At Napper 3D we believe in cost effective design communication and aim to provide the best value 3D visualisation service in the UK through the most effective choice of available technology. We work at a fixed price which is agreed before starting any commission. The exact finished product package you will receive will be agreed up front. Fees are highly competitive with visualisations starting at only £500 ex. VAT.

Q. How can the results be delivered?
A. We can offer medium and large format colour display printing, promotional adverts, brochures, DVD’s, powerpoint presentations, pdf files for email marketing and all formats of digital image data. All of our imagery and movies are available in a comprehensive range of file formats to suit both Windows and Mac OS environments. All files can be provided on CD or DVD or distributed via the internet.
In addition to visuals for print based media we also supply animations generated from our 3D models for use in multimedia applications. These can operate on different levels of user interaction. A simple animation is a movie which displays a predefined content over a certain time. These are commonly referred to as flythroughs. VR animations on the other hand offer a level of user interaction by using a mouse or other pointing device to control the field of view within the virtual environment. These animations can be incorporated into multimedia presentations, websites, DVDs or used as stand alone files.
Napper 3D can quickly supply high quality still visuals of your project. These can be either 100% computer generated or combined with a real photograph (photomontage) to show your proposal as it will appear in context to assess the visual impact of your project on the environment.
Images we can produce include interiors, exteriors, landscaping and any other architectural features. We can also combine imagery for presentation, display or advertisement purposes.
